Now is the time to begin planning to attend the 498th Annual Reunion. If you read the last Dustoff Newsletter, you knew the Friday Nite Mexican Buffet has been cancelled. As a result, this evening can now be used to schedule individual unit reunions.

The Reunion on 10 February 06 was a GREAT SUCCESS, we had 74 for the Dinner, a Great One Man Band and beautiful dance music that I believe was appreciated by all. The committee, headed by Al Flory, and committe members,Joe Madrano, By Howlett, Dick Scott and Mac McBride did a great job! As guest we had Maj. John Mc Nally the present CO of the 498th and Maj. Terence McDowell of the 498th, we all greatly appreciate the job they are doing with the active 498th at Ft Benning and the job they have done in Iraq.......It would be greatly appreciated if a new committee [of volunteers] would step foward to form up the next REUNION for 2007!  We also appreciate the coordination and effort the the Dustoff Committee afforded our Committee in the preparation of the Reunion. Terrie and John-I would like to add my thanks to you both for attending the 498th reunion and sincerely hope that you can do it again next year. As a former pilot (65-66) and a former commander, (68-69-RVN) it was a pleasure to meet you and know that the 498th is in such capable hands. Please add us to your mailing list and let us know of the deactivation ceremony. If at all possible, we will attend as will many other former commanders. Again thanks and we wish you the best in your future careers.
